I want to take an item – how do I do this?

Note: You need to be a Registered User of Freeuse LA to take an item. See "How can I access Freeuse LA" section above for details of how to register.

1. Once registered you can look through the listings in explore items to see if there is something you need. You can also browse by category or location, or search for items.
2. Once you have found something you want to take, tick the check box marked “I agree to the Terms & Conditions and would like to contact the Giver,” underneath the item description then select "View Contact Information". This allows you to send a message to the giver via an online form. The Giver may have also chosen to display their telephone number, if so you can contact them by phone if preferred.
3. Once you have contacted the Giver you can sit back and wait for a reply. The Giver should then get in touch to sort out collection arrangements.

That's it, you're a fully fledged Freeuser!
